Frequently asked questions
Can I load the aircraft from an AeroStow plan?
No. AeroStow is for planning and information only. It does not replace the operator's Weight & Balance manual, contour tables or loading instructions. Always confirm the plan with the operating airline or its handling agent before booking or loading.
Does AeroStow check weight, centre of gravity or floor loads?
Not yet. It checks sizes, stacking, contours and doors. Weight, centre of gravity, floor and axle loads must be checked separately.
Where do the aircraft dimensions come from?
From published cargo diagrams and manufacturer data. Values that are estimated (for example door positions along the fuselage or some cross-section curves) are marked as estimates in the aircraft details. You can add your own types under Aircraft data.
A piece passes the door but is still rejected — why?
Through a side door a long piece goes in end-first and must then be turned to lie along the hold. If the piece is longer than the door and the hold width allow, it cannot be turned. The door check shows the maximum length and a plan view of the turn.
How is the "most economical" ULD, aircraft or truck chosen?
The most economical ULD needs the fewest ULDs for the whole shipment. The most economical aircraft or vehicle is the smallest one that takes everything, with the fewest units. Prices are not taken into account.
Which units does AeroStow use?
All sizes are entered and shown in centimetres. ULD contours are standard IATA contours, shown in centimetres.
Is my shipment saved?
The shipment list and your settings are kept in your browser. Custom aircraft types and edited contours are saved to your workspace and shared with your team.
Can I share a result?
Yes. Every module saves a PDF report. In the preview you can add a reference (AWB or booking number) and notes before downloading.
Which browsers work?
Current Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox on computers, tablets and phones. The 3D views need WebGL, which all of them support.
How do I add colleagues or change my plan?
With the yearly plan (up to 5 users) the account owner or an admin invites colleagues under Team. The monthly plan is for one user — colleagues take their own subscription, or you switch to yearly. Plan changes, invoices and cancellation are under Billing → Manage subscription. More than 5 users? Ask for a special plan on the Contact page.
Can I use my login on several devices?
One login works on one device at a time. When you sign in on another computer, tablet or phone, the earlier device is signed out automatically. Each colleague needs their own login — with the yearly plan up to 5 users share one subscription.
Can I fill in air waybills in AeroStow?
Yes, it is included in every plan. Under AWB & Manifest in the planner you fill in the IATA Air Waybill (master or house AWB, any number format including charter numbers). The pieces can come straight from the shipment list; volume, chargeable weight and the prepaid/collect totals are calculated, and the AWB prints in the IATA layout, with 1 or 3 originals. Saved AWBs can be put on a cargo manifest for a flight and exported as PDF or Excel (CSV).
Who can see the AWBs we save?
Only the users of your company who know your company's AWB passphrase. AWBs are encrypted in your browser before they are saved, so AeroStow only ever stores encrypted data and cannot read it — not even our staff. Because of this we cannot recover the AWBs if the passphrase is lost, so keep it safe.
What do the plans include?
Every plan includes the whole planner: aircraft finder, bulk load check, ULD builder, deck plans, truck loading, PDF reports, and the air waybill and cargo manifest. Monthly is €20 for one user; yearly is €200 for up to 5 users of the same company, with no extra fee per user. For more than 5 users we make a special offer.
Why do you ask for company details at sign-up?
AeroStow is a business tool and every plan is invoiced to a company. The company name, the person responsible for the subscription and the billing details appear on the invoices. You can change them under Account.
I found wrong aircraft data — what should I do?
Please tell us through the Contact page, with the aircraft type and the source of the correct figure. Until it is fixed you can duplicate the type under Aircraft data and correct it for your team.
